DOCUMENTARY

Hello ! My name is Assia. I will tell you about Angie, the company Jasmine and I had work experience with. Angie is a communication company. They work for other companies to help them have a good reputation and relation with their clients. They produce many articles for newspapers, as well as books and videos. Angie was established in 1988 by Eric Camel. It is named after a song of the same name by the Rolling Stones. This company is divided into four parts.

On the first day we visited the company with the woman in charge. After a tour we met Eric Camel (the person in charge of the company and the founder). We asked him question. He talked about his life before the creation of Angie. He was previously an economic science teacher at university and then a journalist. Then we met Pauline, a support agent. She told us how a breakfast conference works, the importance of social networking, what is infographics and the different jobs within the company. Pauline talked about the role of Angie.

On Wednesday, we went to Angie+1 and we spoke to Deborah about PWC and how Deborah controls the different social networks for PWC and its other companies. Also, we learnt about how to create and change Wikipedia sites for companies. Deborah and George look for good websites for publicity. They observe what people say about Cisco and other companies, and whether it is a positive, negative or neutral comment about the company. In the afternoon we saw another department and were given a tutorial on how to film and edit a video. It is hard and long work: we needed a lot of time to edit a video. We had to film and cut the wrong parts of the film. We changed the contrast of the light.

On the final day, we went to a breakfast conference in central Paris. The conference was about the strategy of communication and new ideas Eric has had. The client asked question and then gave his impressions. I think it was interesting and I learnt what the preoccupation of the different companies is. In the afternoon we went to the creation floor and we saw how they translate a French newspaper into an English newspaper.

This work experience was very interesting and entertaining!
