Work placement
During my internship I worked in a dance school where I met Blaise. Blaise is a famous person because he has a big experience and he created the most spectacular move in break dance "air flare". He created "asso vnr" a charity made for young people. This charity organises many activities like dance graffiti, dj-ing, beat boxing and rap. He was very kind with me because all the others had said "no" to me for my work placement. On the first day I visited the place where I did my work placement. I created a poster in order to prepare an event. I did a lesson of dance and Blaise gave me techniques to succeed a move as Thomas (flare), Coupole (windmill ) and pass-pass ( footwork ) in breakdance and I did a lessons dj's and graffiti. Blaise told me about the history of the dance hip hop. The culture hip hop arrived in France in November 1982 approximately ten years after its appearance in the USA with NYCRT (New York City Rap Tour). NYCRT is a world tour organized by the radio Europe 1 and the "Grande Nuit Rap " took place in Hippodrome de porte de Pantin on Saturday, November 27th 1982 at 8:00 pm. This marked the real beginning of the culture HipHop in France.
The best moments was when I gave children dance lessons. It was a moment very special and very moving. At first I was afraid because it was the first time that I had trained young people from six to eight years old. I had already given dancing lessons to children from 12 to 14 years old and I give dance lessons to people of my age or even bigger with the workshop. I was too much afraid of hurting a child but Blaise stayed with me. At 6 pm after the school the youngs arrived at the dance school. It was a very beautiful dancing sessions because the children were very motivated and they always smiled. This internship gave me more desire to pursue in the dance and to open my own dancing school.
