Conseil d'Etat

Before any development on this experience, it seems appropriate to start this work experience report with thanks to those who have taught me a lot during this training, but also to those who were kind enough to give us their time and their skills. Also, thanks to Mr François Kohler, my supervisor who kindly host me in his company and was very available to answer to my questions. Finally, thanks all employees such as Adele, Anne Charlotte, Jean Baptiste, Lise and Nezha for the advice they have given me during these three days.

From 11 to 13 March 2014, Bilal, my British classmate, and I did an internship at the Conseil d'Etat in the Communication department. During this internship, François Kohler, the Director of communication, presented us the art of communication but also the Conseil d'Etat. Then we met the team with which he works. Adele is responsible for editorial communication; Anne-Charlotte supports graphic design and projects; Jean-Baptiste is a photographer and videographer in charge of the library; Lise is responsible for media relations and social media; Nezha is responsible for communication and Tatyana is the assistant of the team. Communication is very important in every company. They must maintain good communication with the public, the media, but also between them. Every relations are important.

We participated in a meeting for the next newspaper of the Conseil d'Etat. This newspaper is intended for people who working in the Conseil d'Etat. On Tuesday morning we visited the Conseil d'Etat. The Conseil d'Etat has two missions, advisor and judge. During the visit, we could observe the behavior of people working at the Conseil d'Etat. Contrary to the image, they do not have secretaries, each person made his own photocopies. They work alone, but decisions are collective. There are many rooms of judgment. Before there was a theater which is now a judgment room.

This work experience was amazing and brought me a lot. It allowed me to gain a new experience but also to learn new things. During this work experience I learned the mission of the Conseil d'Etat. I also learned the importance of communication within a company through a website or newspaper.

The people I met during this three days were very welcoming and lovely, ready to answer all our questions and teach us new things. This work experience will be very beneficial for my future, regardless of the job that I would do later because I could enrich my knowledge. It is always good to develop our culture.
